Introduction to Fencing I

Our learn-to-fence classes have helped hundreds of people in the Salem-area learn to fence. This is the first of a three-class series.

The classes focus on foil fencing, but much of the technique overlaps to other weapons.

One all-inclusive fee of $180 includes class, use of equipment (except for a fencing glove), and two private lessons (to be used as make-up or supplemental lessons -- no credit for unused lessons).

Students need sweat pants or tights (no jeans or cargo pants), a T-shirt (short or long sleeves required -- no tank tops), and athletic shoes.

Successful students will be able to spar with foils in the salle by the last week of class and will be ready to go on to 111 Introduction to Fencing II.
