| Format |
The individual foil event will
consist of:
- One round of pools in the morning. All fencers will
advance.
(This was changed to only promoting the top 12 fencers due to the
large number of entries.)
- One round of pools in the afternoon. If there are ties for 1st,
2nd, or 3rd place, we will have a barrage to break the tie(s). Only
the afternoon results were used for placing the top 12.
The team foil event will be
contested using either a complete round-robin or a bracket with all
fences placed for (depending on the number of teams).

|
It is very important that you be on time! We will
have many bouts to fence.
Although this is a tournament, and it should be fenced
competitively, remember that fencing is a sport of honor, respect, and
sportsmanship. No matter how well (or poorly) you do, remember that not long ago, none
of you could fence. The mere fact that you can fence at all is an
achievement in and of itself.
Rather than a test of you against another fencer, let
this competition be a test of you against yourself.
Simply strive to do your best. And have fun!
